Ruger GP100 help
I have a new (about 1000 rounds through it) Ruger GP100 .357 magnum, with the 4" barrel. I was cleaning it the other day and noticed there is about 1/8" of "play" in the extractor rod both out and in. In other words I can wiggle the extractor rod slightly forward before I push it back to extract my spent shells. Is this normal? If not, what's the fix? Thanks much to anyone who can answer this for me.

The ''wiggle'' and the ''rattle'' - irritating but normal Ruger yes.
SP 101 is same.

All my revolver experience had previously been with Smiths and Taurus, so I didn't know. Thank you very much for the prompt reply.
