Cincy "assault weapons" seizures

Cincinnati's AWB was recently upheld in court and will be in effect until pre-emption goes into effect with HB347 here in Ohio. For a couple of years Cincy basically couldn't enfore their laws because a state court had ruled against the ban until recently.

The Enquirer is usually a decent paper, they haven't printed lists of CHL holders or anything like that, unlike other major Ohio papers. But i found that article on their website tonight. I am not for criminals having weapons, but I'm not sure this is quite neccessary, it seems that the paper is just trying to push an anti-gun agenda. I like how it notes that the weapons were siezed with ammo, because the two don't usually go together or anything(sarcasm). I'd also like to know where the BG's were hiding their AR.

Why not just put the criminal away for life...and give the perfectly good assault rifle to a good citizen?

Or possibly to an AR Rescue center?

That's a great idea! I want on that list. Make it like a yearly drawing. All the firearms confiscated go into a raffle and citizens can put their names in a hat for a chance to go home with one.

I'm not sure what this story has to do with HB347 or Cinci assualt weapon ban....

Seems to me the guns were abandoned along with the drugs.
