Does anyone have their Curio & Relic license? I'm thinking about getting one but I'm not sure if it's worth while nor am I sure where I'd look for good deals/finds.

It is most definitely NOT worth it.
You pay $35 for your license. You get a bunch of papers to fill out.
You send said papers to different dealers and gun parts houses.
You spend any savings you may have had on more stuff you see in all those new toy books that show up from all those new places that have your name and number.
So now, it's not worth it.
An illustration: I have my C&R. A guy at work doesn't. He bought a barrel at Midway. That same barrel with my C&R was $35 less.
I had pretty much gotten all my C&R stuff before really thinking hard about the licence. Must be 8 or so.
Must say - apart from having to get my local guy to take stuff in on a transfer and seeing as he then only charged me $10 - I doubt I'd have benefitted that much.
I hate paperwork and also - I can sell on any of my C&R's without any hassles. I get a Brownell's discount anyways from a ways back.
Maybe the only tempting aspect is - go to gun show - see nice condition Mossin - put down cash and walk out with minimal form filling.
Do you guys use the C&R for collecting purposes or sport? Granted I'm interested in shooting what I own, but I do want to start a collection of the more unique or rare firearms.
I also have a 91/30 to go with these as well as a NM M14 and another pair of M44's.
Just spent the morning on the range shooting the 91/30. Was getting nice 6-8" groups on the right on the bull at 100yds standing. I forget how fun these are to shoot.
Am actually thinking of loading these for our elk hunt in 2009.

Yeah, it's more than worth it. But it's addictive once you start mail-ordering all those new toys. You can start thinking of prices in terms of how many Mosins you can buy for the same amount of money...kind of a Mosin to dollar mental currency exchange.
Get it...you'll love it.
LOTS more guns. Cheap. Convenient.
Worst mistake I ever made. I was just a regular revolver shooter until I fell into C&R trap about 10 years ago.. Now I get all these damn rags in the mail w/stuff I have to buy because of dealer discounts. Plus now I have to buy all these stinkin guns and wait for the BBT to show up at the house so now I can't go get ripped off at gun shows/shops and pay msrp/transfer fees. On top of that I become addicted to surfing gun porn sites (GB/AA/GA,etc).Its just been horrible what w/buying new toys and experimenting w/milsurps,buyin/shooting cheap ammo by the case. Now if I don't get some help real soon I'm afraid I'm really going to slip off the deep end and start reloading them odd ball calbers. Then I'll have to find even more time to waste w/friends w/similar addictions. Not to mention the fact that every damn thing I buy I can shoot and it still goes up in value. Oh fer shame ...
