    Ruger Mark II Sights

My father's Ruger Mark II still has the cheap factory plastic rear sight in, kind of. The other say at the range it slipped out of the notch for it, and it doesnt seem to want to stay put now. His Birthday is comin up here in about a month and a half, so I thought I would get him an aftermarket target type sight to replace the old one. Does anyone have any recomendations for this application?

is the mkII factory drill and tap for a scope base. my mkII is one of the first and it is not. if it is i would get a good pistol scope for him. if he is a iron sight man then you can go on line at brownells and/or midway usa. they will have just about any type of sight made for the mk II.

If the weapon will not be seeing any really hard use, take a look at the fiber optic sights for that perticular weapon.(Midway,Brownell's,etc.) -----

Try getting some SoLow mounts and putting on a red dot - makes plinking become more grin-worthy
