Don't think it was mentioned yet, other than in another thread covering similar ground a ways back.

Very interesting. As I look around cyberspace, I have found entries asking about filling hollowpoints with salt, birdshot, BBs, and dried excriment In order to cause infection... Now that is just sick.

I think I can see the logic behind the salt rounds, but the other ones are just impractical.

If anti-gun legislators truly believed that guns kill people, the guns would be on the witness stand and the assailent would be holding the "Exhibit A" sign.

It is sick, esp. since intentionaly inducing infection is not defensive. In fact, I suspect a guy could be prosecuted for infectious bullets.

In California, a marxist domestic terrorist group, the Symbionese Liberation Army (think Patty Hearst) was using cyanide tipped bullets when they assassinated Oakland City School superintendent Dr. Marcus Foaster in 1973

Not unless you shoot him enough for lethal lead-poisoning to take effect first! Freshly made, properly "sealed" Hg HPs take advantage of Hg's liquid-metal condition, and create multiple, minute projectiles. Pretty expolsive on contact (at least with pumpkins!). Theoretically, the microscopic Hg particles would also embolize, causing a fatal heart-attack, or major (if not fatal) stroke.

My Hollow Points used to get filled with "Pocket Lint". Didn't notice any increase or decrease in performance at all.

Governor General Nikolay Bobrikov, was a Russian Governor General and a Dictator over Finland. He died due to complications that arose from perforations to the small intestine, he was shot by Eugen Schauman with a .32 ACP HP that contained a dental amalgam, the bullet smashed into several pieces, almost like a frangible round.

As said, manufacturers test and design bullets for performance. I doubt putting your own pie filling whatever is gonna make it a rhino stopper.

    Cyanide

Actually Cyanide needs to be ingested to have any sort of immediate deadly effect since it is poisonous because it halts breathing.

When I worked doing electro~plating I got Cyanide in cuts and the only real effect is that it really aches and cuts and scrapes tend to sort of turn bluish and weep and existing wounds take longer to heal up. Silver Cyanide is the worst.

I can see this isn't new. Thank you for your responses.
