Hey, glad to see someone else who has worked around that stuff.

I usually never fooled around with the actual plating operations, other than repairing and reprogramming the machines. I do have a bit more experience treating the waste water that came off of it.
Three of us got exposed to some highly contaminated cyanide water. (it was were it was NOT supposed to be, and we observed the proper procedures for neutralizing what was supposed to be there.
I developed a rash on my arms where I was exposed. It looked like thousands of tiny poison ivy bumps, and itched like mad. The other two guys ended up in the emergency room. Sometimes it is good to have freaky body chemistry I guess.

I can attest to the lack of immediate death if you get it on a cut. Not sure what it would do in a bullet, but IMHO it would be a very Very VERY bad idea to try it.

A cop buddy of mine suggestedone day that I fill my 7.62 HP's with gunpowder or black powder and top them off with wax. I don't have the... guts.... to try it. He said it makes a real nice boom when it hits metal. Not sure I believe it, but its an interesting theory for an incindiary round.

Silver Bullets are for Werewolves not Vampires. I think for Vampires you need Garlic or Holy water filled HP's. I personally don't like the Garlic filled ones, They make me hungry.

Here's an interesting question (the EPA would have a field day over this one): What if you were to load a 12 guage shotshell with a large capsule of mercury designed to rupture upon firing? What kind of spread would it have?

(note: no, I don't advocate or plan on doing this, it's just an interesting question)

Or for a more sane alternative, replace mercury with pepper spray. I'd imagine it'd make one heck of a close quarters deterrant. And on further note, If you were to use a "pepper spray shell," would that still be construed as lethal force in the eyes of the law?

I am not 100% sure, but I can tell you if you pointed a shotgun at someone (whatever it may be loaded with) - pointing the shotgun alone is deadly force ! and if a BG came at me with a 12ga loaded with pepper, I wouldn't stop and check the ammo before stopping the threat.

I know that any firearm at all is noted as deadly force when faced with it. But I mean, as the person who knowingly loaded it with pepper spray rounds, is the use of those shells considered deadly force?

I asked a similar question about loading a shotgun with salt (rock or table) and it was still considered lethal.

Note: The wad used in a shotshell or a blank can do some damage.
If anti-gun legislators truly believed that guns kill people, the guns would be on the witness stand and the assailent would be holding the "Exhibit A" sign.
