    Raging Bull .454

I have a chance to pick up a Taurus Raging Bull in .454 at a decent price. It's as new been shot twice, stainless 6.5 " ported barrel for $500.
LGS that sold it to the guy got in back on trade. He couldn't handle the recoil.
I have some big bore revolvers but not a Taurus.
Does anyone here have a Raging Bull or has shot one ?

I need some opinions on em.

    Thanks

I have shot one. It was much better than my son-in-law's Ruger. I think the cowboy style six-shooter with that much power put too much strain on my wrist. The Taurus design wasn't a problem.

I got mine a ways back and enjoyed it a lot - still do but decided to get a long tube SRH in .454 too and find that gets more excercize.

Still like the Bull, which is why I keep it despite the alternative option. I do also think that maybe the Ruger has the edge on strength but the Bull handles the hot 300 Hornady loads just fine.

And then - one I often post - the beast spittin' fire

Shot a friends Raging Bull in 44 mag. Was really suprised how the recoil compensator along with the rubber grips reduced recoil. REALLY liked it.
