Cool My first pistol caliber carbine

I had been interested in the Keltec Sub2000 for a while now but never really seen that many. The ones I had seen either were not the Glock 9mm or the seller was asking ridiculous prices. Well I finally found the right combo and pulled the trigger on it. It was still a little over MSRP but nothing compared to the $600 or $700 that I had been seeing. My first impression is that this is one accurate little carbine for being so lightweight and small. For something that folds up the size of a laptop, I must say I am impressed with its accuracy at 50 yards. I think it would probably continue out to 100 yards.

The one thing I am hating than anything is the sights. I just don't like this at all. I don't give myself enough time to getting used to them and instead will be looking into switching them out for AR sights or even an AK post sight. Either way, for now they get the job done.

Welcome to the Sub-2000 club! They are GREAT little guns that are surprisingly accurate even with rudimentary sights! I have one in .40 that shares magazines with my G-35. They are addictive and loads of fun at the range! Enjoy!

I think my buddy has one of those. At least he used to. He said it kicks more than he expected, but is pretty accurate.

FYI, there is a Sub-2000 9mm that takes S&W 59 magazines on Armslist Asheville for $500.

That stock tube is pretty cold on the cheek in the winter!

I already ordered one of these. It helps with the cheek weld and would also take away the cold. Can't get much better on the price.

I've found the recoil to be pretty tame as you would expect for a 9mm. My wife thinks the hard plastic butt is a little uncomfortable but I'm sure there is a rubber cover or something.

A pistol caliber carbine makes a lot of sense now a days, specially as a defense weapon where gang or rioters are involved. I bought my imi uzi as a collector's item but now I realize it's a soldier's tool designed with a purpose. So I don't think you got yourself a toy, it's a serious defense weapon you have to learn to operate like a pro. Congratulations on a very smart move.
