    Ranges in the Dallas area

#2 and her friends want to go shoot when I go up mid July . No idea where to go so any of the DCDFWSG( Defensive Carry Dallas-Ft Worth Shooters Group-see why I made initials? ) who have some ideas, let me know. I think it would be fun to go with the girls and might be fun to meet some of the gang there as well.

Hopefully this is posted in the correct group.

I recommend the Garland Public Shooting Range. It's $15 to join, then $15 every time you go. Your entrance fee gets you in for the whole day (so you can leave and come back). They have about 25 pistol bays, 30 or so rifle (50 and 100 yd), and ten or so clay throwers. I'm there about every other weekend.

If you're not familiar with Dallas, Garland is the suburb just northeast of Dallas. From downtown, the range is probably 25 minutes.

Elm Fork shooting range is the place I grew up shooting at. Centrally located, and not to far from DFW airport. Haven 't lived thre in a few years, but it was my favorite.

Yup, all depends what you want.
    Indoor or out?

In Fort Worth I usually head to Shoot Smart off N 35. Clean, unlimited lane time. Great watching lounge with chairs and sofas.

Only range I have been to in Dallas is DFW Gun Range off Mockingbird lane near Love Field Airport.
Allow indoor rifle and shotgun. Also some great rentals.
Check out their web sites for more info.

If you are driving to Dallas and going up I 35 through central Texas, I suggest stopping by Best of the West in Liberty Hill, TX for some fun range time and to stretch your diving legs. Best of the West Shooting Sports ? Texas Shooting Range
