I should come within some money for the first time this year in the next week.
I have found a deal for 10-ga.; a Browning BPS. I'd use it for turkey hunting, and maybe some ducks or geese.
Any thoughts on the 10 ga. w/ 3 1/2" shells vs. 12 ga. w/ 3 1/2" shells for turkey hunting?
Any experience with 10's in general, or BPS 10's in particular?
Any informed opinions would be appreciated...

BPS 12 for me. seems to work well, but have had (and heard) of the mag connect arm (part keeping shells in the mag) failing after a while. Other than that, I love shooting my BPS. Can't tell ya much about 10 guage, but 12 ga. 3" seem to work well for duck.

Randy I don't have a Browning , but do have an Itacha- Auto-10, I use mine for deer mostly, and love it,,had a 3 1/2" 12 and it more than likely did the same as the 10ga,but to me it kick harder, and there was only about a pound difference.
There are more shot loads for the big -12, but with the pump gun you may be able to shoot the short 10ga round,,can't do it in the auto

I like the gold trigger on my 10 BPS. I really like the way no one borrows shells on a good shooting day. I really really like when every one else has a 12.
