H&K holster fit question
This may be a dumb question...
Why won't an H&K full size USP fit into a H&K USP compact holster, if the holster has an open bottom?
I'm thinking of the SERPA holsters.
Whay are some holsters for full size USPs designated 45 only? Is there that much of a difference?

The trigger-guard is a different shape between the full-size USPs and the compacts; enough to make a difference.
The 45 USPs have slightly larger trigger-guards, also different in shape between the full and compact, and the 45s are thicker through the slide width.
I think the gun manufacturers do this just to make life difficult for us holster-makers; so we can't use a full-size to mold a compact holster. The HK 2000 and the 2000SK compact also have different trigger-guards. The 2000 is the same as a USP Compact, but the 2000SK compact has basically a full-size USP shaped guard. And Sig's 229R rail-gun has a squared-off 226 trigger-guard instead of a regular rounded 229 guard. Why do they do this???

Ah thanks Mark. That's why my P2000sk fits my USP .45 CTAC. I was thinking of cutting the bottom off the holster because I rarely carry the USP. It's just too big to be comfortable IWB.
