In one of the threads, I read about the 40 cal. xd putting a small mark something like a comma on the spend shell casing, but I can't find that thread again. Can someone help me locate it? Thanks
are you referring to the marks left on the primer from the firing pin? I know on my xd40 the firing pin must swipe it either just before it strikes, or right after it strikes. I get a good solid hit, then a somewhat drag mark off of that. It does kind of look like a comma shape. If that's what you are talking about, then others have this happening as well.

This sounds like it's the same problem, but it's not the same story that I had read before. The small mark is on the side of the casing, and after looking at more of the shell casings I noticed a small dent in the same place as the comma. There's something going on with it.
