    Price Check - Browning Hi-Power

I have an opportunity to purchase a Browning Hi-Power made in Belgium in 1977. I have verified the age through the serial number. It is in brand jam new condition. Looks like it just came out of the box. The seller wants $650. Does anyone know if that's a decent buy? Thanks for any help

    Calling Steve Camp!!

Well good earlier BHP's do IMO command good prices and so this one may not be too far off base. I happen to like earlier ones and feel they are a good investment.

If buying I'd be pleased to see a tag of $550 but - would not rule that one out. I doubt you'll lose on it in the end. JMO tho.

Hello. For a new '77 C series Hi Power, the price you mentioned is not out of line these days. It is not a "great" price but neither is it way out of line in my opinion. For those preferring the older pistols, they will only get harder to find in this condition as the years go by.

    Best.

    Browning Hi-Power Price

Thx gentlemen. I have purchased the gun. Got a little better deal by working a trade. My total dollar investment is $525. I have traveled around your website Steve. There is a wealth of info there even if you're not hot for the Hi-Power. I've always wanted a 9mm (can't explain why since I'm not a 100% fan of the cartridge) and the Browning was just too 'clean' to pass up.
