I currently carry and love my HK USPC .40 and have no flaws mechanically or anything.. but i do have one problem... where i carried in an IWB holster with no sweat gaurd i think it faded the end of my slide becuase no matter how much oil or breakfree CLP i let sit on that one spot it still wont go back to the same color black that the rest of my slide is... any help getting it back to normal?? or is this just my first battle scar

Maybe your perspiration is the cause? Higher Ph? More salt in your perspiration caused it? Weird.
Be proud of that battle scar sir!

I doubt you'll achieve a match with any treatment you can do - and anyways - if that is a much carried gun try and accept that finish will marr over time.
Even my 226 ST has areas which are now not as original after 2 years of constant carry - it ain't worth worrying about for a workhorse!
Keep the function sweet and celebrate the ''scars''

Personally I feel that if Your Firearm looks new all the time, You arn't carrying it enough. A used gun will look used. If you want it to look NIB, leave it in the box. Congrats on your first wear mark, good for you for carrying it enough to cause one.

carry LH for a while till it matches. J/K , my '93 HK USP shows a few worn and scratched areas, just part of carrying and using it.

I should show some of my old favorites... they are getting scary looking. I trade in my Glocks fairly often too.
