    say what you will

Say what you will about the quality of Taurus firearms but my 45 full size oss threw down this past weekend and I was happy with its performance. In all the years I have had this gun it has never had an issue. I do replace mags every few years to keep them crisp.

1.jpg this is from the holster and a standing position with a one of my boys calling the start from behind me. about 15 yards, good enough for SD.

    2.jpg
this one is from the shooting bench same distance as quick as I could.

For both photos ignore the smaller flyers those are from my 11 year olds 22. I feel pretty good about the gun and how I use it considering hand gunning for me is self taught.
sorry if this post is non informative and just some of my range time, I don't have shooting buddies around here, you guys are my only outlet.
    Stay sharp.

Nice shooting, I've had a Taurus 9mm for years now and it's one of the most accurate guns I've owned.

We love range reports and gun pics around these parts!

I have just purchased a SS PT1911 - haven't taken possession yet. I can't wait to get it to the range.

Well post a pic of your gun, too. It'll save me from Googling Taurus "oss"

    Good shootin'!

Range time results, even with Taurus-es, heh, are what I like to see and you're getting great results.

3.png this is the 24/7 oss by Taurus it is a SA/DA 12 shot mag and can be fired with no magazine in place. They built these for a SOCOM trial, they discontinued this weapon shortly after that. I bought it because I was poor and wanted a hi cap 45 with SA/DA capabilities.

Huh. I didn't know Taurus made anything like that, even briefly.
    Thanks.

I am glad it works for you. I have never owned, shot, or driven a Taurus.

Well.....coroners never say that a decedent was done in by a Glock or 1911, just basically the lead size and where the "deposite" was made. If it slings lead with that amount of accuracy and does so reliably....you're good to go. Considering they were designed for military trials back in the day, they are in all likelihood built better than other examples of the Taurus line. Mind you I am still very much a Glock and sixgun sort of fellow, but it is hard to punt performance such as that. More over if YOU are satisfied with it and confident in using it.....strap on leather and ride the river with it as Skeeter Skelton would say.

Great shooting I have had my Taurus pt809 for a number of years. One fail to fire recently. Fired when I pulled the trigger again. Was some very inexpensive ammo I had never seen before that I got from the freedom munitions store in Houston. The gun is extremely accurate. Except when I shoot it I use FM ammo all the time with no issues. This stuff was in a white box if I remember correctly.

My PT92 is as accurate as my Glock.
