Yea, NC I would like to go down to Bass Pro. Keep me in mind if you go, maybe we could meet up.

We don't have a GM around here. I deal with a local store mostly that is the only gun store where I haven't seen the employees talk down to women. If I need to use a big store for something, I go to Bud's. They are only a 40 or so minute drive. That's rare though, but sometimes their prices just can't be beat.

the Coldwater, MI GM was pitiful. A few 1911's at crazy prices, a few new XDs a couple glocks and 1 h&k, a few revolvers. that was about it. That and service was non-existant.
I have also been disappointed with Gander Mountain on several occasions. My cases have been with them not having something in stock after I had called and asked if they did and being told by the employee that they did have it. The drive to the store is always the same, I mutter to myself that they had better have it ot this will be the last time I shop there. Then, the item I called about is not in stock and I vow not to ever go back.
several months later, there I am muttering to myself on the way to the store that they had better have it in stock since they told me they did.
In my own defense I have not been to a GM in about a year. So maybe I have learned my lesson. Of course, Bass Pro Shop does the same thing here in Memphis.

The local gander mountain here will price match their guns. but i agree its nothing to special sometimes they have good prices on ammo, or have a big sale on rifles, but their hand gun selection lacks.

Well quite frankly GM is an Outdoor, Hunting & Fishing outlet, NOT your handgun discount outlet.
Flame on me all you want...but if I need "spreader" loads for woodcock/grouse, ammo boxes, shotgun shells, fishing stuff, gear, etc...I will choose to shop there or a Cabela's or Bass Pro, etc.. IF I am looking for a new carry gun, training gun, etc....I will go to a place that specializes in that.
