    Ruger Gold Label

My wife surprised me for my Birthday last week and gave me the money (she inherited a good chunk recently) for a Ruger Gold Label SxS Shotgun. Ruger is re-tooling the line right now to fix some minor errors of manufacturing, but I laid a deposit down for the "pick of the litter" when the order comes in. Supposed to ship in July....just in time for bird season!

Boy, oh, boy! I can't wait.

Awfully nice of her, enjoy it. I always have liked a good side by side.

Happy Birthday by the way (a bit late).

Thanks. They only come in 12 ga right now, so that is what I am getting. It will make for a great upland game gun (chuckar, quail hungarian partridge and pheasant) that we have out here.

Next mission, plan a hunt to ND for pheasant!

Bud, I don't even have it! I wish it was here so I could. I have handled a couple and love the feel. I can link to the Ruger website however!

Patience is a virtue. I would have a hard time waiting until July, even knowing that they are fixing known issues. You are a strong man.

Never owned a side by side but always wanted one. I go with a buddy of mine to SD every year for opening season of Pheasant season. It is my favorite hunt of the year. Its amazing how fast something the size of a chicken can move. I guess what is even more amazing is that I can miss so many of them. LOL

Congrats. I shoot side by sides when I bird hunt too. I have handled a Gold Label and they are sweet, but I haven't ever shot one. I want one so bad I can't stand it.

I'm jealous, but I'm also poor, so I guess I'll have to stick with my H&K Classic Lion for now.

Hmmm....makes me wonder when or if they will make one in 28 gauge.

When they come out with one in 20ga, I will take out a mortgage on my house if I have to, I will HAVE TO get one.

I hope the line becomes succesful enough that they eventually make them in all popular gauges.
