I have nothing to offer other than this is a level of stupid I had no idea existed. Once you pay $200 for the permission slip to have it in the first place, you have to ask permission to take it across state lines too?
    Rockymonster and remington79 like this.
I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid people. I'm saying remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.

Yep! You don't have to a suppressor, but you do have to get prior approval before you take an SBR across a state line. You have to state the origin and the destination and dates among other things.

The whole thing, tax and all, is an extreme level of stupid.

Six (6) weeks has been the shortest time I've experienced. That was about 6 months ago. Perhaps it has gotten shorter. I would call the ATF office in West Virginia and ask.

Thanks! Didn't realize one could call about stuff like that.
