Well if he had 100 guns thats only 10,000 rounds a gun, I don't find that so unreasonable.

Why Waltz when you can Rock-N-Roll
Oh no, they discovered a machine... that makes even more ammo!!!Authorities also discovered a machine in the garage that was used to load the gunpowder into empty casings. The practice known as “reloading” is common and not illegal because ammunition is often expensive, ATF spokeswoman Susan Raichel said.
I would like to have 1,000 rounds per each gun at all times but unfortunatly it just doesn't seem to last. As a matter a fact the only gun I have over a 1000 rounds for is my Ruger M77 in 308 and I haven't shot it since I broke my good glasses and had to go to an old pair. I havent got around to budgeting money for a new pair. I prefer to buy guns that I can shoot with my old glasses.
1 million rounds of ammo...hell...he's my new hero!

While not in his league, I did a quick inventory to where I stand.
1700 .380 factory and reloads, 1200 .38 reloads + 1000 .357 reloads, 1800 .40 S+W factory and reloads , 200 factory .32 Longs.
2000 .22 long rifles, 1800 .22 Mags (assorted weights) 2500 .223 (all weights and powders) 2170 7.62 x39mm (all factory), 600 45-70 factory and reloads, 700 30-06 factory and hand loads, and last but not least 6500 12 ga., 1/2 factory and the other half my reloads. Wife shoots trap but doesn't reload, let her buy her own. In addition, about 32 lbs of pistol, shotgun, and rifle powder. also about 18,000 primers of all sizes. These things add up when you load for a lot of calibers and use progressive machines like Dillon and Mec. Good shootin' to y'all, dgang

I have a mere 2500 rds in my garage. My friend that sells ammo mail order, had 7 pallets of 7.62x39 for awhile, I think he is down to half a pallet now. If you have an order made for ammo, some companies expect you to order a 100,000 min order size and even up to a million for less common sizes like .303
He must have been saving for a war. It would make one he** of a day at the range. He sounds like a reloader to me. That much ammo would cost a bunch of money.

<----My LT was unhappy that I did not have my PASS-Tag at that fire. But I found the body so he said he would overlook it. :)
I must be twisted, because all I can think of is "Lucky snod, I wish I had that much ammo!"
You need a license for black powder in CA?
