(AP) LA MIRADA, Calif. Authorities are searching for six alleged gang members suspected in the shooting death of a security guard after they were turned away from a bar near La Mirada.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Ed Hernandez says the suspects' were turned away from Oceans Sports Bar Saturday night because they were wearing gang attire.

A fight broke out after the men started drinking in the parking lot and 28-year-old security Reyes Garcia told them to leave.

Authorities say one of the men grabbed a gun from a pickup truck and shot Garcia several times in the chest.

Garcia was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

La Mirada , and the whole of the greater Los Angeles area is under seige from the huge gang presence now in the area. They have a willing clandistine supporter who is a one time gang member himself in the mayor and special order 40 from the mayors office. Which handcufffs the police. It's shamful .

Not far, any longer. Given the fact that anything can be taken as a "diss" (disrespect), these days, most anything can get you killed. So. That leaves us to assume that anyone might have the capability of snapping, in the right circumstances.

Want to stay alive? Be prepared to quickly defend yourself prior to that point where you're toast. That can be hard to do when the "snapping" can be at the drop of a hat, well-hidden if the perp has much experience, and fast if that perp's been training. Assume it all. Have a plan ahead of time for reacting and surmounting the attacker's ploy ... and a specific plan for swinging the odds in your direction.

Re Special Order 40: Ostensibly, it's to help ensure that the population of illegals in SoCal will not be scared into non-participation with police in the event of witnessing a crime.

Oh… goodie, I take it that HR1022 is another measure designed to remove guns from the law-abiding public? That will have zero affect on the gang bangers that can’t legally have guns anyway. For the last 22 years every time I mention that I grew up in CA I have gotten a response of, “Why the **** did you move to Kansas?” I can think of any number or reasons.
