Some of the major companies like Colt, Smith and Ruger, used to do some in their speciality shops. I've got a Colt Delta Elite that was ported at their custom shop or so I was told.
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

Thanks...So they are still pretty much the bomb when it comes to porting. I had'nt had a gun ported there since the mid 90s and was wondering if there were other companies that have started doing this since then.
Thanks!

You didn't say specify if you wanted to port a semi~auto or a revolver. Gemini Customs comes to mind for nice revolver porting.

I'm not a big porting guy either...training/firing weapons from weapon retention positions make me leery of the viability of ports on a gun...but I do see where they make sense.
That said, I give a big +1 to Gemini Customs....Marc Morganti does a fantastic job on his guns...the ported samples he brought to the two SHOT shows I saw him at were superb! Likely not cheap..but his work is well worth it.
