I think your statement above is accurate. I would like to shoot one for kicks.
I've never shot a shotgun inside without hearing protection. I'm told it is LOUD. The article claims to be the "loudest shotgun". Imagine if you will it is 2am and you discharge this beast in your home. You call 911 to report the incident only you can't get a dial tone on your phone. In truth it's there, you just can't hear it anymore. In fact you wonder why your spouce's lips are moving but he/she's not saying anything. YMMV

How do they rate the gauge on that shotgun? Is it a 10 or 12 gauge shotgun?

I agree it might be fun to toy around with.

Anybody noticed the finger? Right there I don't take these guys seriously.

I am sick of the "A wide spread pattern gives you a better chance of hitting a armed intruder and stopping him from shooting you. " line. A shotgun makes a wonderful defense weapon because it makes LOTS of holes on a bad guy. And yes, it spreads but how much spread is necessary? And what happens if you have to transition to slug? And one last point, How do you aim that thing with an umbrella in front of your eyes?
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.
