This is a great little 10 minute video that explains the difference between semi auto fire and full auto fire.
The guy who hosts the video also shows how just changing the stick on a rifle does not make it any more dangerous or "deadly".
It's a great video to show to any ill informed anti type.

I spoke through email with someone else about this video. I knew it wasn't brand new before and Steven tells me that the officer in the video was run out of his department for his pro-PKBA views. That is too bad.
Here is a quote from his email to me:
The video obviously pre-dates California's first "Assault Weapon Control Act" and appears to have been produced specifically as part of the campaign against such pending legislation in that state. (Note the reference to the recent shooting in Stockton, in which a drifter named Patrick Purdy used a semi-auto version of an AK-47 to shoot several Laotian children and a few teachers in a schoolyard, the incident which facilitated the passage of the Roberti-Roos ACWA.)
Officer Pyle was disciplined and driven off the San Jose (CA) Police Department for his pro-RKBA activities, despite (or perhaps because) of the fact that its then-chief, Joseph McNamara, was making in-uniform appearances on behalf of anti-RKBA organizations.
