I just saw on the news that Shooters Paradise in Woodbridge, Virginia had a fire.
The range is toast but the store may be able to reopen soon.
The statement from Shooters is that the range will be closed for an indeterminate time.
According to the news reports, the rubber backstop caught fire. The blaze caused the roof above the backstop to collapse. At last reports, the firefighters said that they were still trying to put the burning backstop out but that it was like trying to extinguish a burning tire.
This is one of the places I shoot IPSC competitions at. The only good news is that no one was injured.
I hope they get everything back up and running soon. We can't afford to lose any ranges in Northern Virginia.
