    WWII 1911A1 Ithaca

I got an e-mail from my friend saying hell froze over and he is selling guns. He's the one responcible for my 1911 addiction as he let me shoot my first.

Today, I bought the Ithaca pictured below for a "friend's price" or a fraction of what it is worth. Reguardless of it's $$ value, it's priceless to me. The only thing I've done is put on correct Keyes grips.

absolutely a nice piece of history on the best design ever, I've had the chance over the years to handle and even shoot a few, some WW II and some WW I and a couple of early commercial Colts and every time I get one in my hand I start thinking of the history behind it. You have a very GOOD FRIEND

Is that a 1944 vintage? It's nice whenever it was made.

    Nice Ithaca!

Are there any arsenal stamps on it? That's a later replacement barrel (post-WWII).
