From a business perspective it would be a good move for Taurus. Probably good for Colt as well. Certainly better than Colt evaporating into a stock and facilities sale.
The more I think if it, the more I see in it. A North American manufacturing base for Taurus, quality issues at Colt would get addressed by some fresh blood, other advantages.
But it's probably just another internet rumor. Pity.

Maybe Taurus will force Colt to actually think about all the sales they do to private citizens.
If this is true afterall.

YAWN this only rumor only goes around what ever 6 months?
Dont forget the state colt is in still owns half of it as far as i know and i doubt they are up for saleing outside of the usa
now if some one claimed smith wesson was buying them that i could possible kind sort of believe
I didn't take it too seriously. But like all good rumors there's enough meat on it's bones to make one think. Wouldn't it be nice....
...maybe I'll look into putting a consortium together and do it myself. Anyone mind if their next Colt is manufactured in Kansas?![]()

I got away from Colt many years ago. Taurus might be just the thing to turn them around. The last Colt I had was a Trooper 357mag and it didn't hold up too good.
Will we see knockoffs of the AA 2000 now?
