I recently got back two of my 1911s from my gunsmith and both of them are hitting about 10inches low at 25yds (proven with a rest) I'm not too happy with how much drop there is any I'm going to send it back to the smith to get more appropriate sights.
Right now I have a .340 rear sight and a .180 front sight.
The same sights were put on a Colt 1991A1 and a SA- MilSpec 1911. They both hit the same at 25yds.
What are my options?
Do you have access to a laser bore sighter ?? what other work was done at the same time and could that work affect the shooting low??
The first thing I would do is get a laser boresight on it to confirm that it is the sights.
