Question Got new Glock 22; is the upsweep of the dustcover normal?

Yesterday I picked up my new GLOCK 22 (.40 cal. full size).

The gun looks and feels great. I was wondering, though, if something I noticed about it is normal.

Up near the muzzle end, the dust cover (the plastic frame) has an unmistakable upsweep, so that the gap between the slide and the frame, through which you can see a sliver of the recoil spring, actually becomes narrower toward the muzzle. The slide and frame do not touch, but the plastic is definitely upswept.

Is this a manufacturing variance? Is it designed-in? Sorry I can't post a picture of it. Does anyone else have a G22 that exhibits this?

    Thanks!

As far as pics go, just google "GLOCK" and you see it on every pic that has the right angle.....
