Stiffer Swiss Gun Control?
Thought this was interesting. Note the part where the statistic is skewed by Perfectly legal assisted suicides. This puts Swiss suicide rates only above the worldwide average by only 2 to 2.5 per 100,000.
Let me also mention my personal feelings on suicide: Let them. I've been on so many attempted suicides where I'm patching the guy or girl up, listening to their story and thinking "Wow, you truly don't have any purpose left here except to exist in misery. Let me show you a better way." While some are truly selfish (leaving spouse/kids behind), others, IMO, are completely justified. Of course, every life is precious, including a junkees' who has realized what a worthless piece of crap he is. Sorry for the rant.
I wonder what our suicide rates are, and how many of those are drugees and people escaping medical conditions. I'd guess at least half.
