I watched John Stossels 20/20 show friday night and was very pleased with the outcome. It was very pro gun and made a lot of good points for CCW carry. It was short but good.

I believe you are correct. I bet ABCNEWS.com couldn't live with themselves by hosting that clip.

The report gets an A+ in my book! I really liked the line: "You can call the police, and they will arrive in time to take a picture of your dead body!" I thought that pretty well sums up the situation.
ETA: I don't want to give the impression that I am anti-LEO. Far from it! It's just that I believe we should all take responsibility for our own safety and protection when the likely hood of help is remote.

That was the best! I love somone on this forum's signature that says something like, "When seconds count, the police arrive in minutes."
I'm a full-blown fan of LEO's, but the basic logistical truth is captured in that quote, as well as the quote in the Stossel piece.

I shooting with a retired LEO several times a month and he'll be the first to tell you it's best to be well trained and rely on your own protection.
That really was a good segment and that line is one I'll keep with me as I discuss the option to carry concealed with those who are in a learning mind set.
