XDs that multiply - are you a victim?

It has been hinted at in a few threads that when you buy an XD you have to be very careful as it will either multiply or brainwash you into getting more of it's family.

I bought my first XD a few months ago, a 9mm Sub Compact that went straight to the top of the pile of my carry options.

Then yesterday I was in the gun store looking for a nice .45, the song of the sirens started and I was ran aground at the XD cabinet. They wouldn't let me leave until I bought one of their kind, a Tactical .45.

    I don't think I need a 12 step program, yet.

But these guns have a hold on me.

Sign up if you too have more than one XD, there has to be a lot of us.

Although still shopping around (thanks for all the advice from here) I'm leaning away from a compact 45 and seriously considering an XD9SC (for next purchase). My service XD45 is a dream to shoot, the better half swears it points its self. I'm thinking the 9 should be very easy to control.

There is just something about those XD’s that is contagious.

    4" XD-40 Bi-Tone here, likely adding 5" XD-9 and possibly an XD-9 SC.

Not XDs, but my Glocks seem to be reproducing.

Mine carry to term about every 7 months. I now have 3. The first was an XD 40 ported that I traded my Glock 23 for. About 7 months later I was the proud owner of an XD 45 compact. Then, of course, I had to get an XD 9 for cheaper practice.

I think my diverse family of guns are interbreeding.

What you are experiencing is a condition known as G.A.S. (Gun Acquisition Syndrome) Some times it is brand specific and other times just firearms in general. This condition has no known cure. 12 step programs a useless because you meet like minded people and the disease just spreads faster. The only thing you can do is embrace your new condition as a life style and enjoy the fruits of your purchases.

Was planning on a XD, until the M&P came along and that's my next pistol.
