And reasonably priced to boot!
Great video.

I've seen these before, and a buddy of mine swears by them. Personally I haven't used them yet, but I hope to change that next week.

Most of my AR mags are pretty beat up, I'll probably buy a batch later down the road and start replacing the most of severely beat up mags.

Is the round count window the only difference with this newer version and is it worth the extra $3.00?

I think it also has the "Self leveling follower."

I seen a TV program about the Mexican drug cartels and the police. The police were carrying these mags but I have never seen any. Steve48

I really doubt that.
They were probably carrying Thermold Magazines which look a little like these, but aren't as good and were made in Canada.
These Magpul mags have just started being sent out to dealers like a week ago.
Heres a pic of a Thermold Mag:

I was looking at their site again and noticed that they are priced fairly well. Does anybody know if they fit in a standard issue mag carrier?

They are really coming out with some super tough and (for all practical purposes) indestructible polymer blends these days.

More cool stuff for the toybox! Ya just gotta love the AR Platform.

Wow, that is very impressive. I would NOT trust my mil-spec AR mags (steel?) after they were run over. I'm pretty sure they would bend and stay deformed. The polymer on the other hand seems to return back to its shape after being run over. Even after the small crack it still functioned through all 120 rounds.
Side note: anybody remember the scene in the movie 'National Security' where Martin Lawrence pulls out a 30-rd mag for his Glock 18 and it broken? The floorplate had popped off and was dangling by the spring. I laughed when I saw that. Glock mags are so tough, it would take a heckuva lot more than some rolling around in the dirt to break one. Of course, in that movie he used his G18 to take out some hardcore SWAT guys armed with MP5s and AR-15s from a range of 75 - 100 yards, without suffering any wounds.

Yeah, thank god the Glock 18 is a Class III weapon and out of the hands of most of the public!
That gun can probably take those special "Teflon Coated Armor Piercing 9mm Bullets" too!
lol j/k
