    Bought a Taurus PT 1911..

I'm going nuts up here in North Dakota, while I still have a week to go before going home...my PT 1911 should be delivered to my FFL guy on Tues. I bought it from Frostyeyes, and I cannot wait to get home and get my hands on it. I fly out of here on Fri morning and am planning on picking it up that afternoon and hittin the range on Sat morning...I'm very excited as this will be my first 1911.

I will give you guys a report as soon as I am able to get some lead through it. On a side note...I will also be shooting my J frame for the first time since trading for it with another forum member as well...so it should make for a very fun Sat morning

    Cool

A friend of mine bought one of those, he really likes it. He showed it to me, I was impressed. Good looking and functional, ready to go. He said it was a shootin son of a gun! He should know, he was a pistol instructor in the USMC.

HnK it's setting here beside me all cleaned and ready to ship tomorrow and I'll send the holster by mail along with a set of silver/blue laminate grips to pretty up the new girl.I went to the range today but sadly it was without my new longslide the guy I'm buying it from had a heart attack on Fri. but is recovering just fine in the Hospital when I talked to him this afternoon so like you I also have to wait a few more days. Bummer for both of us. By the way I have shot your snubby and you wont be dissappointed. did you get the holster from EBK also, I sold him one I got from Rhome last year.

yea me too, I knew I should have stopped over to his house on Wed. but I let my business get in the way of pleasure, talked to his wife this eve. and she said if all goes well he should be home by thurs.
I told her to tell him no rush ( HA ) just make sure he gets better and follow the doc's orders.

Edit: he's in his 80's with failing eyesight and he can still prolly out shoot me. LOL

Wow, what a deal on a Kimber. And hook a brother up with some pics.

Hey Bud, not that I didn't want you to squeeze off a few rounds, I just felt that I could take Frosty's word that its a good shooter.

Bud just wanted to get his hands on it LOL Him and I run in the same area and freq. the same gun shops here but as far as him and I know we have never run into each other. I have offered to let him shoot one of them for a while now but it's summer time and my lawn service keeps me busy along with my reg. job at Ford's i was hoping to hookup with him and have hime teach me how to shoot. Oh well some day Bud. By the way I guarantee the pistol will shoot strait I've had both of them in a Ransom Rest.

I did a rapid DA fire with that snubby at 10 yds and got em all in the pie plate ( 9" )
