CLASS3 - on the assumption that you and folks like good leather - here are two closer shots of my two somewhat ''cowboy'' rigs (top center in other pic). In fact they mainly got used at range. One was for my 5" M27 - with a cross draw option if I fitted that on .... the other held my Redhawk. Used a tie-down on M27 one for practical revo shooting.
I had help from a leatherworking buddy - who made bags and luggage mostly but - after me designing shape etc and applique aspect - got him to help assemble these. I was and still am very happy with results - guess this was 20 years ago now!
Looking at my current selection of holster gear - I must take another pic - if only to maintain my ''chief packrat'' status!
Have a Ruger vaquero in .44 mag. at the gun shop waiting for me. Other than that most the pistols I have are semi auto combat/defense guns or .22 plinkers.
Hey Chris! Those are REALLY NICE RIGS!!! VERRRRRRY nice tooling and shiny leather! I'm sure the handguns that were used in them felt VERY much comfy.......The leathersmith that make them does really nice work!! You've got some gooooooooood stuff there!! Those rigs add character to the guns. I'm droolin
I dont know if I put these in the same category as my "cannon" but here's what I've got...
Colt Anaconda .44 Mag.
Ruger Vaquero .45
TC Contender...7-30 Waters, and .223...what a fireball it looses...
That'll work HotGuns!
Good to have another Contender dude on board! .223 is my fave - darned tack driver!
Thats some good looking leather Chris Heres a pic of my anaconda with work done by mag na port ... funny the one i picked up yesterday looks the same got a matched pair now
Matched pair - handsome to boot Bud. That is I confess (so far) the one thing I have not achieved, a true pairing.
Guess I have ''concentrated'' on diversity, with an obscene emphasis on quantity!
My ideal pairing would be to find another Smith 5" M27-2 - one of my first revo loves long ago - and it still produces a noticeable ''arborial'' effect!
That's a sweet Anaconda Bud.
I never had a matching pair i saw one earlyer in the year and bought it and found second one at same shop i got the first one
Bud - yep - I got what you meant - like - ''finishing up with'' a matched pair! One first - then the other. Nice tho!
Had to post a pic of it in action surprising was hard to get pics f flames couldnt get any coming out of the mag na ports
Never so easy in daylight Bud plus - depends so much on the powder being used. Still a good orange projected fireball tho.
Remember that muzzle flash pic of my Raging Bull? That was near twilight and - a very 'flashfull' Win 240 grain load.
That load there was with h110 full power 240 and was darker than it looks... Yeah i love that raging bull pic of yours
Hmmmm.... does my 629-4 count as a hand cannon? 5" bbl
I figured I should add the biggest baddest mother on the block to the mix.
