Talking Todays Shooting Dan Wesson / Kimber

Started off with the Dan wesson RZ-10 10mm

Really like the Ahrends Grips Thanks Class3NH

I started at 25 yards with this target 2 mags ..

Not as great as some shooters but dang good for me with a Auto at 25 yards

This was after warm sorry it fuzzy Camera batterys went dead One Flyer.

    Then went to the Kimber

I try to like this gun but for some reason i can't i did pack it today to the range

I think its the pain in the rear take down with 4" barrel..
Don;t like the Sights and don't like no speed bump on beavertail but it shoots good not as good as the 10mm

Grips will be changes some time soon..

the 3 circled ones were at 10 yards trying to see if i could get the gun to group better

Not bad says I, is that a Kimber Eclipse? Ditto on the 4" and less take down, I hate that silly little tool/paper clip thingy that you need.

When (I was about to say if, but who am I kidding) I buy another 1911 it's going to be a true 4.25" bushing barrel 1911.

    I think I might give the S&W 1911 Gunsite pistol a whirl...

I still really want a Dan Wesson bobtailed commander, but now I don't know if I want it in .45 or 10mm... d'oh!

For 25 yards Bud that Wesson (and you) appear to shoot very well ...... I'd be more than happy with that

I cannot switch on to Kimbers - never will.

Also noticed that i shoot better with the plain novak sights of the RZ-10 than the 3 dot night sights of the kimber but thats not a surprise

i have heard Ping ping and OD comment on the same thing and it holds true for me i might black out the 3 dot on the kimber next time and see if its better just for a test

Nice shootin' Lefty. You're making some nice holes.
You must be reloading some mighty good ammo.
The D.W. is looking real good.
What are the grips? Tulipwood ?
They look great. CLASS3NH done you good.

Yep, my best guess is Tulipwood. A real nice, dense exotic wood.
It makes up into some really special looking grips.
Real nice wood for knife handles also.
