Yep, kudos to Springfield, I think this was posted in a warranty related thread not to long ago.

I am sure glad I bought a springfield. Check out the damage. Look what they did for 150 bucks!!
Obviously this is for a 1911 but you XD guys must also feel pretty good knowing that a company like this backs your purchase
Yup. that thread sold me. My next purchase will be from SA, 1911 milspec
This one i think
To those that paid for my freedom,
I WILL NEVER FORGET.
As with all statements I've made and All that I will make, please check your local laws to verify accuracy. (and if i'm wrong let me know as I like to be right in the future) After all I'm just some goofball posting on an internet forum.
This is one of the reasons why I love Springfield Armory. They make great quality firearms at reasonable prices, and they stand behind their products.

I am the God fearing, gun toting, flag waving conservative you were warned about!
Not that I need another reason, but this is why I have bought (and will buy) nothing but Springfield pistols. As Spyderdude says, they are quality firearms at reasonable prices, and stand behind their products!
Great story, I wonder if other manufacturers would've done the same??
OOOOOH YEEAAHHH! SA 4 LIFE! XD's for me baby... Great story to read. Thanx for that.

Wow that's an awesome story.
I'm going to forward this to other folks I know as the results relative to the damage is just amazing.
My primary CCW is a well worn and very accurate but not accurized SA 1911. :)
Yeah, SA's warranty and Bud K's recommendation of em convinced me to buy one. I have not regretted it at all. The one issue I had, SA fixed promptly.

As a Springfield customer, I am extremely pleased to know how well they treat folks after the initial purchase. My XDs have been 100%, so I havent needed to avail myself of their services. I still want a 1911, but I'd already decided that Springfield was my choice when I did get one, and now Im sure of it.
Wow.. That kind of customer service is amazing.. Gonna have to REALLY take a look at the XDs this weekend.
I guess I must join those that will seriously consider Springfield as a future purchase. Just plum amazing!
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.
Ego will kill you. Leave it at home.
People routinely dismiss XDs in favor of Glocks based on the fact that you have to send your XD in for modification/repair as SA don't sell spare parts, Glock does.
IMO SA's guns should be judged a bit more equally than that, especially in light of this thread, and taking into consideration that they should allow self repairs and mods in the future.
/Glock and XD owner.
That's a great ending to a sad story.
The one question I didn't see asked,
AZCHEVY, are you A.K.A. indatruck?
fess up now. J/K
I had to ask. Thanks for the link.
