Question Anyone Have Full Info. on Sig Breakdown?

I'm looking into how to totally field strip the slide, due to the fact that mine is a SAO, I won't be fiddling with the lower or the trigger mechanism for a while, but I'd still like to learn how to take the slide completely apart?

Any links / instructions with pics would be greatly appreciated.

Jd just don't let Sig know your Detail stripped the upper, they will void the warrenty.

Too late, I've all ready breathed on it, changed the sights, and took the grips off, and polished the thumb safety surfaces to smooth it out.

As I recall anything other than shooting and basic cleaning will void the warranty.

Besides, if my Sig lives up to it's reputation I shouldn't need the warranty and I can just have a smith do the work when ever it's needed, I don't like sending things back to the factory, if I send it back and it doesn't get fixed right under warranty, Oh well just send it back, if I take it to a smith and it still doesn't work, I want it fixed and I want to be comp'd for something.

Pick whichever is better, so far so good on my Sig and that's all that matters for me, they boast "Hell and back reliability" And based on what of what I've read recently, and mostly current feedback, and that Sig torture test that QK posted, I'd say they've got a pretty good rep. At least with their standard guns, I've heard too many horror stories on their 1911 line.
