I lost a bullet without the fun

I have to tell on myself. i went out Saturday and traded my Glock 30 in on a Kimber Pro CDP. I found one Friday when I tested out of the NRA Basic Pistol 1 so I could take their safety inside the home class next week. the one I found was used for around 850, but it looked like it had been mistreated, finish didn't look very good, the sights were nicked, etc. I called around Saturday and found one new for around 1100. Too much to drop on a new gun. My G30 needed new sights, new springs, etc so I decided to trade it in as it had become a safe queen. The wider I get the thinner the IWB needs to be :-)
I ended up getting the CDP for 800 plus the Glock. I think I might have paid a bit much, but it was exactly what I wanted.
I got her home and function checked her before cleaning. I usually test one of my Wilson mags, and chamber a couple of rounds. Everything fine. I dropped the mag and racked the slide to clear it. I'm USUALLY able to catch the round that is ejected...not today. i missed it and it fell to the floor. No big deal...except after 2 HOURS or searching it's not there...anywhere. Not under the dishwasher, fridge, too far away...I think from the A/C vent. it's just gone. I swept the kitchen floor twice (much to my wifes pleasure) and it's just not there.

Are you sure it hit the floor ?

Check the chairs at the kitchen table.

If its not where it obviously should be, like on the floor, you need to start looking higher.

Hopefully it is too big to go through the grate over the a/c duct. Look anyway. It could have bounced under an appliance then got in a hidey hole in the metal frame. That happened in my truck. If it could have gotten to a carpet it could be there in plain sight until you trip over it. Good luck.

I heard it hit the floor...then poof...gone. I think the danger is now the sock gnomes that live in the dryer have decided that they need weapons for the next stage of their plan for world dominance. Beware gun owners...you drop a bullet...the advance guard of the United Federation of the Order of the Sock will open a wormhole to take what they need to enslave us all.

    Question

Have you had your house checked for a "DOORWAY" into another dimension?
Sounds like a warp in the fabric of SPACE to me.

That is where some of my past gun springs disappeared to.
They very simply went into another place in TIME.

Now WHAT will those Stone Age people THINK about that Cartridge of yours that just appeared out of thin air and landed at the mouth of their cave? "UggH...What This?"

They are probably worshiping it as a gift from GOD right now.

OMG! There is a "chance" that it MIGHT alter the FUTURE if they figure out what exactly that cartridge is.

It might invent gunpowder thousands of years Too Early and alter the normal course of history.

Now you done went and did it!
You ruined everything for the entire human race!

    Be more careful next time.

If you only lost a bullet, then what's the problem?

If you lost a cartridge, then, well let's just say that the cartridge gnomes are far more sinister and you're in deep doo-doo.......

It's right beside the gun in the photo! I see it.

It's hiding in plain sight. *Grin*

Check your pockets. I've found things in my pocket I thought was long gone.

If you ever find the wormhole in your house, check to see if my pocketknife is in there, OK?
