It's easy to envision that being kept compressed would challenge a spring's springiness, you know?
As long as the Mag springs are of good quality from the factory yes..
there have been more than a few reports of people finding mags that grandpa had with his 1911 from world war II loaded since then and the ammo and mags working just fine after all that time..
Now if its a junk spring then well all bets are off
