Not so much a sand bucket - more a small pile of sandbags in office - the ones I use at range for support on the bench. So far they remain intact.!

Otherwise - terra firma is my safe mode in office or house.

It seems like there 's always a big display of phone books in the entry of the grocery store. A box full of them next to the safe works for me.

In the closet where my safes are, the floor is the typical Florida tile over concrete. I suspect that a round hitting that is going to travel some distance in an unpredictable direction, hence the sand bucket.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

Yeah your right, believe it or not, floor tiles can deflect a handgun round a lot.

I clear in a direction towards the back of my house where I am reasonably sure no one is going to be. I have about 2-3 acres of heavy woods outside the rear of my home so it's reasonably safe to say that a handgun round prolly won't make it out of the woods Even if it did, there are no houses within a mile of the back of those woods.

I have an old Kevlar vest that I use. It is mounted on the wall down by the floor right next to the safe. It will stop anything I have except the rifle rounds and I'm not doing a lot of jacking rounds in and out of them.
