The more I go gun shopping, the longer my "to buy" list gets...

I went to go look at guns today, just to see what was new. I've been kind of looking at maybe getting a Beretta 92FS, but never really handled one until today. The 92 feels really good in my hands, points naturally, and of course its in 9mm (the cartridge I can shoot most accurately). So maybe later this year a Beretta 92FS will make its way into my gun collection.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the same sidearm the military uses right?

I should really stop going to gun shops, but thats what I do when I'm bored!

I know the Beretta 92 is used by US Navy as my step son used one to qualify.

The ''to buy list'' will almost certainly continue to enlarge - whether by small increments or geometric progression it's hard to tell. So often - when one gun is bought and added to the collection - we find another two waiting (at least).

If we get those later and 2 becomes 4 - well, ya get my drift!! I have reached a point where at my age and well emptied pocket book - I realize I do actually have enough - but quantifying that word ''enough'' is not easy.

I still have a few that are on ''the list'' but in truth when I survey what I do have I think perhaps there has to be a time to stop

Yes, I will be needing a big safe. All I have right now is a small Sentry security safe.

Okay... get ready to drool! I got the CDNN catalog in the mail today. They've got used Beretta 92FS + 1-15 rnd mag for $299 (good to very good) and $329 (very good to excellent). Hold me back- I know a local dealer that will do transfers for $10!

I mostly own Glocks, but this is one pistol I've always wanted to get!

Look, it's a disease. You got it, and there is no cure. Go enjoy, and don't even try to stay away from gun shops. It can't be done, so get over it and buy to your heart's (and wallets) content...

    Yup!

It happens to the best of us.

After a while, it becomes second nature to say "of course I need this new gun, I don't have one yet!"

When you get to multiple numbers of the same model, and can't think of a brand/model you don't have, then you should look at the possibility of considering maybe slowing down the rate you buy new guns, if you want to.

Me, no way. I'm addicted to buying guns.

And just 'cause....guess what my last purchase was? Beretta 92FS. Yippy!!
