    .357 Revolver setup...

I'm going to be 21 very soon and I am starting to research handguns for practical, Competitive, and defensive use.

I have already decided on the Springfield XD-9 as my first autoloader with a Blackhawk polymer holster, now I am researching revolvers and their hoslters.

So far, I'm considering the Rossi R97104, the Taurus 66, and the Taurus 627.

As for holsters, I was thinking Uncle Mike's Sidekick Nylon Hip Holster.

    Any suggestions or advice?

Also, can anyone recommend a good speedloader?
If anti-gun legislators truly believed that guns kill people, the guns would be on the witness stand and the assailent would be holding the "Exhibit A" sign.

I can only comment on the M66 Taurus as I have one, in 4" I like it and was lucky to have one with a very nice trigger, out the box. It does not tho get huge use compared to what I might do with a Smith or Ruger. Have you considered finding a good used GP-100 at all - better made and tougher.

But - being a 7 shot cylinder I am not sure you'll find a speedloader, tho never looked yet for one for mine.

I am not a fan of the Uncle Mike's nylon holsters but - depends on your carry needs. I guess if concealment not an issue then it might do but - for CCW I would not recommend one at all.

Forget Uncle Mike's nylon holsters. They won't last, and I guarantee you won't be satisfied with them. Go with a leather holster.

HKS makes the speedloaders you're looking for:
