Mallory said he will blow a whistle at Saturday's Rhythm Race 5K instead
I'm sure that will lower the homicide rate. What a doofus.

Yup, he's pretty much an embarassment to the thinking residents of Cincinnati. Luckily, there only a few of those left. Oh well, if they want to model their city after Detriot, D.C. or Atlanta thats OK. The 'burbs do much better with out them.

Oh yeah, I bet his quoted reason is not the truth... I bet the real reason is that they did not have a pistol that matched his shoes. Or maybe because he would have screamed like a little girl once the pistol barked.

Or maybe he was afraid it would confuse his security entourage... it aint hard to do.
I guess thats what you get when you select friends who could not cut it else to do an unneeded job.

It is so much easier to blame an object, rather than address social deviancies and inadequacies.

S'okay, babies, ya'll keep pimpin', selling dope, and don't you ever get an education or a job with more responsibility than McD's. We'll keep goin' after the bad guns, an ya'll can be happy.

    How politically correct of him...

The mayor is a Democrat, and is shown below:

Cincinnati - Mayor Mark Mallory refuses to fire a starter pistol to kick off an upcoming road race, saying he doesn't like the gun's symbolism
Instead he said he'd point his finger in the air and say "bang"!

Oh wait, that would still be symbolism.........

    What a winner.

    gun's symbolism

    What a poon...

one again a city official demonizes the object of a crime rather than the criminal.

    Nothing new there...

    Correct on the doofus part.

My brother lives in the Cincinnati (I grew up there) and he knows this joker. He actually thinks quite highly of him. Of course, my brother lives in a condo in the ghetto and refuses to own any firearms. That is a story for another day.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, Mark Mallory is an idiot--plain and simple. There was a shooting outside of a city council meeting about a year ago and he was the first one under the desk. He's been bleating about the state's new firearms preemption law and how it's interfering with his efforts to stop eeeeeevil assault weapons from flooding the streets with blood.

His statement didn't surprise me at all.

Oh--he throws like a girl, too.
