I'll try to find one. I would like to force the area under the beavertail more positively into the web of my strong hand.

I took the WC frontstrap off of my pistol tonight and replaced it with some non-skid tape that I cut to fit. I was able to slide the WC frontstrap up and down the frontstrap with just my fingers. The magazine basepad must have been what was keeping it on the pistol. It also may have contributed to my grip problems with this pistol.

I use the non-skid tape on the front and backstraps of my Ruger P95, and it works very well for me.

I was looking at the WC V-grip yesterday online. I would have to find one of those to try as well. I really don't want to sink anymore money into this pistol trying things out on it.

    Bud,

    LOL

Someday I'm going to guy a 'Franken-gun.' You know, a Colt 1911 built by so many different vintages and cosmetic finishes that even John Browning himself wouldn't claim it for his own.

Then I'd shoot it until my hand hurt. Put it away filthy and reload scores of bullets with glee late into the night.

Then I'd get up and fire the monstrosity again.

I've never had a 1911 like that. I must say, my Li'l Temperance knife is scratching up quite nicely.

Have you tried shooting high-tumb? Works great for me, as long as the beavertail isnt cut too high, such as my Colt pictured above.

edit: Well, my old Colt, since I no longer own it. I have two tommyguns though
