    Need info on Glock "recall"

I was at the range last evening getting some practice in with my Glock 17.

A guy that was there said something about it being an older model (I've had it about 20 years or so) and asked if I had had it worked on due to the "recall".

I told him I had never had it worked on and never heard about a "recall" He couldn't give me any information about why there was a "recall".

So, Glock guys, what's the deal? Is my old G17 unsafe? What needs to be done? How do I get it done? etc, etc etc..........

Call Glock in Smyrna, Ga. There were internal part updates, not recalls. They will be able to tell you if you need anything.

The "recall" that he was referring to was probably the "product upgrades" over the years. Check here for everything that is wrong with Glock: http://www.thegunzone.com/glock/gindex2.html Its a bit of a witch-hunt and nit-picky, so take it with a grain of salt, but its all there. Every gun has problems and should be upgraded when necessary.

My first gen glock 17 was upgraded at the local GSSF match I attended back in the mid 90's for free by the glock armorer there for the day.

Not a recall, but upgrades were available.
