Does it have a mag disconnect ? cant rember model of my uncles 22 smith but it has the disconnect and for some reason the way i grip triggers the release just enough to stop it from shooting with out the mag even coming loose... his mag release is in the front strap

Always liked them QK but - when it comes to what works and doesn't, when we do weekly pin or steel shoots, sad to say it has been the dear ol' 41 that has given some folks most grief.
True enough - we all have problems now and again but - comparing relative costs, the old solid Ruger has probably got the stage. Buckmarks close to that a few Neos.
I'll counter that tho by saying (admitting!) that when I have shot with a 41 that was performing just fine - there are not many guns that feel so good - only maybe a Walther GSP I used to have for bullseye ... long ago!

Ah, the old 41. One of the first target shooters I ever used. Couldn't afford 1 at 18, so I settled for a Buckmark. Still, the 41 holds a special place with me , along with the M1 Garand.
