Question for FFLs
I believe what I am planning to do is legal, but want to double check first. I have a B-day coming up and my wife said she will buy me a new handgun for a gift. If I fill out the purchase form and have a permit to acquire as the gun is going to be mine, is there any legal problem with her actually paying for the gun with a credit card in her name? Any conflict with the question on the form about :Are you the actual buyer of the gun?
Thanks!

I do have an annual budget, but blew right thru it this year.
Am actually planning to buy two new 442s with a net price each of $295. But to do so, I need her to buy one for a gift for me so she can use her Cabelas Visa card and get $85 off the sale price of $380---CLub Card days coming up tomorrow. COnvenient that my B-day is in 10 days and she suggested the gift idea. Can't beat that.

You should be good to go. She is basically giving you a monetary present and you are using that to buy the gun for you. She isn't giving you money to buy a gun for her.
The other legal way to do it is for her to fill out the paperwork and then gift the actual gun to you.
