When do you stop buying guns?
Is there a point where you have all the guns you need? I have a friend who owns a gun shop, and has about 100 personal weapons at home.
Another gentleman owns about 70 or so guns..not collectibles/antiques.
Some friends have 5 others have 12. I won't say how many I own, double digits, less than 20!.... Does owning too many (? blasphemy) become a liability at some point...moving/storage/ etc?

I'm always looking for one more. Especially if I can call it a good deal. When will I quit buying guns? Never!!!
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

I try to but one or two a year and will do that until I die.All my firearms
are going to my son as he has the same enthusiasm for the sport as I do.We need to keep our sport going after we are gone and keep fighting the fight against the brady bunch!

I have all the guns I need several times over, but there will always be a need for another backup just in case.
Of course, several follow me home every year, what can I do?

When? When you run out of cash, space, or patience (not your's, your spouse's).

NEVER!!! MU HA HA HA HA HA HA!
One day we'll probably have "too many" but I don't care. If they get too old we can just sell them and get more.

Storage capacity
I have a gun safe without much room left in it. This has caused me to become more careful about what I buy, as I don't wish to get a second safe.
Another factor is the risk of losing the financial investment to fire or theft. I do have insurance with a special rider for guns, but I am probably underinsured because of the increase in gun values. So this also tends to constrain me in new acquisitions.
And then there is the cost of guns. There is a limit to how much of my income I can devote to this. So the bottom line is that I ration myself to selected new purchases.

I don't make very much so I have to be rather careful what a buy. I now have, what I consider to be the minimum necessary, well maybe one handgun more, that will cover almost all the potential needs I can foresee. Now I am just going to continue stocking up on ammo for them all so I will always have a decent supply.

I think I'm pretty much maxed out, I have 12 handguns & 6 long guns; so my collection/armory is fairly complete. I hope. For now anyway.

I would post an answer, but I am still in shock that this question was actually asked.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
