1911 pistols ?
I have heard that some parts are not the same. If so whitch ones aren't interchangeable.

Can't say if that is true or not, but I suspect NOT. I've not changed anything on my PT 1911, but it appears to be very comparable to other 1911's. It has man extra features and the slide to frame and other parts are all well fitted.
Clint Smith just did an article in American Handgunner on the Taurus PT1911, good read. Check it out (November/December issue) .
I think I'm about to find out.
I just had my first problem with my PT1911.
The slide stop broke. The part on the inside that locks the slide back when the magazine follower pushes it up apparently sheared off, possibly the last time I reassembled it after cleaning. It still functions manually to lock the slide back.
Sooooo.....while I fully intend to contact Taurus and have them send me a new slide stop, I think I'll get a high-quality one, like a Wilson Combat, and use that, keeping the Taurus replacement as a spare.
I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of the parts are interchangeable with other 1911s, other than the hammer (due to their unique safety lock feature).
