    UPLula™ Magazine Loader Review

I know many of our members are familiar with the UPLula™ magazine loading tool (UP stands for "universal pistol") made by Butler Creek Industries, but for those who aren't, I recommend you take a close look at it.

This device is slick, and so easy to use. Loading my 13 round BHP magazines to full capacity is effortless and fast. Works like a charm on single stack 1911 mags, too.

Click here for a video demonstration.

Though I'm used to loading magazines the regular old thumb way, and not wanting to seem like a weakling, would not bother with any assist device. After attending several high volume shooting programs, my thumb has thanked my ego for taking a rest; this thing was the envy of many of my fellow classmates.

The only small downside, is you can activate lock closed button if using in your left hand; just practice to avoid.

I'd bet if you didn't like it, you could sell it after just one demonstration.

    Nice product.

Interesting Terry - I have some ''dedicated'' devices but they are of course hardly universal. This sounds very useful and I think worthy of following up. Thx for the mention.

Actually decided to order one but the shopping cart was having a hissy fit! I will call them tomorrow - I like the look of this gizmo - vid is very effective.

Works great on 9mm and 45 ACP (double and single stack mag). I spent 4 days at front sight and what a thumb saver. Faster than loading without one. 2 thumbs up!

I also own one and it has spared me much thumb pain in trying to load new magazines. Can't say enough good things about this product. Highly recommended.

    I want one.

This was actually the first I had heard of this handy little tool but my buddy was aware of it.

I really want one. I love to shoot but I hate the "magazine thumb" I always come away from a range session with.

I have 2 of them. One for the range bag and another in the house. When I go to the range I'm filling 16 magazines at a time for a total of around 250 rounds. That doesn't include reloading at the range.

I got mine at this last SHOT Show and love it. It's very handy in keeping me from breaking a nail and definitely eases the loading of new mags with tough springs.

I have an AR mag loader from the same company, too, and it makes mag loading a breeze.

Yes. It's a very nice product. It works as well as they advertise in their promo videos.

I didn't know there was a lock-closed button the first time I encountered this feature because I apparently didn't read the entire manual. I thought I had broken it, but later, in better light, discovered that I had simply pressed the button inadvertently.

I haven't tried the one for pistols, however I SWEAR by the one for AR's.

    Nice product.

One of the counter guys at the shop I bought it from never saw it work. I demo'd it for him on one of my mags and he bought one right then and there! It really does make life easier...

Trying to fully stoke the Galil 50 round magazines is telling my thumb that I should probably invest in one of those.
And I have good strong thumbs but I.M.I. sure uses some tough and tenacious magazine springs. They sure do.
